Horse Riding "Lessons"

If you stay at a horse farm you have to ride the horses! We had arranged for Clark, Emily, Blake and my friend's oldest son to have a little "lesson." It was more like an experience - and a great photo oportunity.

First they picked out their ponies ...





... and then they brushed them.



Then the German couple took the ponies out into the riding barn and Clark and Emily mounted up first.



Then it was Blake's turn.



The couple lived in California for several years, about 25 years ago. Their English is pretty good. There is a population of British in this area because of some nearby British military bases. The man gives proper English riding lessons to many local British children so he knows all the English words for horse stuff. They were so nice to our children and I'm so glad we arranged for the expereience.
