Jeff and I have discovered that in order to really enjoy a vacation with our children, we need seperate bedrooms and a kitchen. Our apartment has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living room - perfect. We've also learned that it is much better to stay at one home-base instead of moving hotel rooms every night. We reserved this place for 5 nights - perfect. As you can see, we are expecting the pefect vacation. I know this isn't everyone's definition of perfect, but we've arrived at this conclusion after a few failed vacations (pulled off to the side of a freeway "discussing" whether to turn the car around right then or continue on the 7 day, 2000 km road-trip from ...... you get the idea).
We are so thrilled to get the opportunity to spend some time with our friends before they leave Belgium in 2 weeks. Together we have four adults, five children, and two babies. We are sharing meals which is a production:
Cindy is making us some fabulous dinners (secret lasagna recipies!). Stay tuned to see how the adventure unfolds.
