Then we met a couple of other families at the cave entrance. The entrance is right off of the main street in the small town - literally a little entrance in the side of a rock cliff.
We had arranged to get a tour in English, although the guide's English wasn't very good. That was okay though because the kids didn't listen much anyways. If you think 9 kids and 2 babies is loud, then you should hear them inside a cave where it is confined and it echos! Here is picture of all the kids at a large formation in the cave.
And here is just our family. Katie was in my sling the whole time. She slept for the first half of the tour and then just looked around for the second half. She was a great girl.
My friend took this fun picture of me explaining something to Blake.
And here is Emily with my friend's son:
At the end of the trip we all got into a boat and rode out of the cave on an underground river. Parts of the river were very close to the ceiling so we all had to duck down as far as we could.
While we were riding along Katie decided she wanted to eat right then. I couldn't let her cry because it was so loud echoing in the cave. So I nursed her right then. Later my friend said, "In a boat, in the dark, in a cave - you are amazing Heather." At least it was dark. (-:
