As part of my "Get Out Of The House" Enrichment activity group, we went to the Aachen Christmas Market today. Aachen is about 1.5 hours from here, just over the border in Germany. There are bigger and better German Christmas markets (like
Koln) but this one is close. I got a
Springerlle cookie mold that is
reminiscent of my Grandmother. But my favorite thing was eating an authentic
weinershnitzel with
sauerkraut.
I wandered off the market square and found a fabulous little children's boutique where I found the most wonderful tights. The Europeans know how to make tights! One pair is pink
chenille and the other pair is ribbed on the outside and terry cloth on the inside. Perfect for the chilly weather here.
