Piano Recital

Today Clark and Emily performed in their very first piano recital.  They started taking lessons in December or so.  We were so proud of them.  

It was hosted at a local piano gallery.  The store has a nice recital hall in the back of it.  I suppose they figure it's good business to get all these piano families into their store.  Before we went in, the kids posed in front.

Emily went first, playing Somewhere Over The Rainbow.  You'll notice in the video that her music folds shut.  This wasn't a problem because Emily had it memorized.  The teacher didn't realize this though and got all worried and was going to go up and fix it for her, but we stopped her and said Emily knew it.  You'll also notice near the end of this video you hear a big sigh from Katie who was in my lap when I was filming.  We've decided it is because Emily played the song so peacefully.

Clark went after Emily, playing the main theme song from Star Wars.  He also had it memorized but took his music just in case.
